Any person who intends to establish a micro, small or medium enterprise may file Udyam Registration online in the Udyam Registration portal, based on self-declaration with no requirement to upload documents, papers, certificates or proof. The Govt of India has prescribed the criteria for enterprises as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has specified the requirements for registration as Udyam Registration.
As per the notification announced by GOVERNMENT OF INDIA on 26th June, MSME Registration previously known as Udyog Aadhaar Registration will now be known as Udyam Registration. The government has announced these so as to make ease of doing business for the entrepreneur who wants to establish their own enterprise. The main motive for doing this is to enhance the capability of newbie entrepreneurs in order to initiate “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”. The new online Udyam registration has been made available from 1st July 2020.
